I'm wondering if GWB will avoid a complete meltdown before 2009.
Here is a guy who wasn't very stable to begin with. Who relied heavily on friends who are starting to abandon him or head off to jail. This is a man who craves approval and his approval rating is in the toilet and sinking further. This is a man who made a lot of messes in his life but they didn't stick...the messes he's made as President will certainly stick and have caused a tragic loss of life. This is a man who knows he stole the Presidency, knows he wasn't up to the job, knows he botched the job, knows he will always be remembered for botching the job.

Frankly, I'm amazed he's still on his feet and not in a 100 proof puddle somewhere!

1. I kept hoping he would show up obviously drunk at his convention
but they managed his meds very carefully during 2004.

3. He'll say he did the right all along
Cause God told him what to do.

This arrogant prick of a president will never admit he made a mistake. And since no one has the guts to impeach him he will only be held accountable by those of us who know what a dumb fuck he is.

The Hannity's the Coulters, the Malkins, and the O'Reilly's will hold him up as a god forever and say we didn't deserve such a wonderful leader like GWB.

And the mindless shitheads that follow the above mentioned will believe every piece of shit lie till their dying day.

4. I no longer hold hope of a public meltdown
I'll take it if it comes, but nobody in the right position pokes at him enough to make it happen.

5. The problem is he thinks he was chosen by GOD. He believes he
won the election. He believes he is the bestist pResident ever.
He believes if he can just kill enough muslims he can trick GOD into coming back and let GOD put him at his rightful place on GOD's right hand side.

GW is insane.

9. Wait until more of his support network crumbles.
You are wise to be wondering this. I thought we would have witnessed the end of this rotten administration right about now. But they are loaded with support. Cash and lawyers.

I suspect as more Republicans in the administration are held responsible for their misdeeds, and as the support they give to the administration disappears with them, Bush will start to flail.

We already see the aging of his face over the last six years. I think it's more than just natural aging.

What a sad time.

13. Even his "base" is deserting him lately. Look at these latest
approval ratings from Rasmussen.

Just 34% of Americans approve of the way that George W. Bush is performing his role as President. That’s just a point above the lowest level ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports. Today, 64% of Americans disapprove. Those figures include 13% who Strongly Approve and 48% who Strongly Disapprove.

Today, just 65% of Republicans approve of the President’s performance. That’s the lowest level of base support ever recorded.

The Rasmussen polls are always a few points higher than most of the other polls, but he's tanking there too, lately.

10. He's a sociopath. He doesn't care about approval.
What in God's name gives you that idea?

The only approval he craves is from those who have even more power than himself - the super-rich.

12. Better question
How many meltdowns has he already had?

Would we hear about any of them?

We think he's a nimrod, but the folks stuck in that house with him - especially the brass hats, very especially the sucker who drew the short straw and has to be handcuffed to the nuke suitcase while in close proximity to Bush - know far better than we.

I seem to recall a nifty bruise on that vapid mug. A pretzel, it was? Or maybe it was a meltdown so insane that a good right hook to the bean was the difference between George under control and the end of western civilization.

Food for thought. ;)

I'm so pissed you saw that bear. I've seen crows. Your dogs. Bugs. More crows. Grrr.

:):)

14. anybody who has to wear socks with the Presidential Seal on them is long gone

He is so insecure he has special socks?

DU thread with the photo of the sock puppet pResident

No public total-meltdown is due to vigilant handlers and a complicit media.

15. I wonder if his toilet paper has the Presidential Seal on it...
Or maybe the Constitution. Probably the latter, the way he's been crapping all over it.

16. Heck - it would be nice if they took him out of the white house
in a strait jacket, if they can't get him in an orange jumpsuit, that will do.
