On exercise and me recommending a product
long story short, for health reasons I need to exercise

(Don't we all?) but also for a long story my knees are ahem trashed

So I tested this

http://www.fitnessquest.com/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=/itemdetl.html?item=4-TLGE&src=BR1008

at the local JC Penneys, thinking com'on this is an infomercial product! It seemed to work, so I decided to drop the 100 dollars on it.. after all going to the Y and using the bikes didn't do the trick and the walker wasn't too good for knees

Here is the shocker, been doing this for a month, and my knees, sore point, are not screaming in pain... hell they have not complained ONCE... now my muscles feel like they are working out

Hell, we went to the County fair, and I could do the what was it two, three miles without running of air

Now they have a better model for more money (which I did not know, or I would probably have bought that one, since it includes resistance) but if you need a very basic machine that will help you get some exercise (no, not olympic level and when I was doing EMS I used to do quite a heavy training schedule) and you have bad knees, the pressure is almost nill

Putting it together was *^((&*(())_&*()* but I have been using it on average four times a week, now up to sixteen minutes, will try twenty soon, and I can tell you folks, it works.

And I am not the usual person to endorse products either.

But, it is Oberman and jump on this sucker

;-)

1. Know what else, works for me
Knee supports, wet suit material keeps me walking, on a bike I don't need them.

4. I have one of those!!!! I really like it, and my knees LOVE IT.
Both my knees are kind of bad, especially my right knee (torn meniscus). Got one of those a while back. Haven't used it in awhile (other things going on), but I was just telling my daughter today that I am going to start using it again.

What I like about it (besides the fact that there is almost no impact on my knees) is that it's FUN. I hate to exercise, even though I know it's good for me, so when I find something like this, or bike riding, or walking, that is more fun than anything, I'll all for it!

5. Yes it is sort of fun
you are right...

But for me the critical point was no pain on knees

It got so bad that even walking to the coffee shop, about oh half a mile, required the cane, hell I took cane to couty fair (and I was right)... I did not run out of air, but my knees were not happy

Not by the end of the day.

:-)

They are bad, not due to meniscus but other problems... and I DO need to exercise... so this is what the doctor ordered.

8. I'm not surprised at all.
Most of those exercise machines advertised on tv will work as intended (except the ab-whatever machines that claim spot reduction). The Bowflex can be a decent home gym, and the Gazelle is a fine cardio tool. The problem with finding success with these machines usually isn't with the machine, it's with the person buying it. Either they don't use it properly, or they just don't use it.

9. My sister has one
I tried it thinking it couldn't possibly be as easy to use as the commercials show. I was wrong. It's very easy.
