Here is an idea that SHOULD be used as Congress debates how to get out of Iraq....
Place a Kmart Blue Light and a 50inch TV Monitor on the floor of the House and the Senate beside the seat of the presiding officer in each chamber so that it is always visible to CSPAN viewers at home.

Every time another American soldier dies the Blue Flashing Light should shine for 1 hour and the picture of the fallen soldier should be displayed on the tv monitor, for all to see.

So let them go on to other business while our men and women in uniform are dying while this demonstration is going on. Do you think people at home would notice?

It is a simple reminder that to do nothing is to prolong the process of lives lost each day in Iraq, and politics as usual is not acceptable.

1. There is something about being reminded daily of dying soldiers by name and face....
that should have an impact on those who have the power to stop it.
