Oops, Matthews Just Said "Shit" On The Air
Edited on Tue Jun-19-07 06:28 PM by Hissyspit
Coming back from the commercial, the camera went on and he was saying "...we're all acting now and putting on shit." Then he looked up, stopped talking and went into the Bloomberg interview introduction.

Hee.

Not really obvious or important, but it was funny.

18. Oh really? Then why all the heavy editing of 'The Sopranos', etc... on A&E, Bravo, etc.?
The only stations on cable that allow profanity are pay-extra channels like HBO, Showtime....

20. not a requirement to self censure but remember who owns the major cable stations
Edited on Tue Jun-19-07 07:01 PM by Perky
the Big three Viacom Disney and GE. They start showing nudity sex, graphic violence or other r-rated stuff on non-premium channels or pay-per-view it will get problematic on other fronts for them with boycotts and the like.

23. Got it...
but shouldn't he still be slapped with something anyway? The FCC seems rather fervent about going after anything - gasp! - obscene these days, so why not that clown?

The was a similar incident a few years ago that happened on KCRW in LA. The host (don't recall the name) was discussing something and the "F" bomb dropped. It was supposed to be bleeped out but wasn't. Then the host was sacked. :eyes: The listeners were up-in-arms... it was really stupid.

31. One time Fox Cable News showed a pornographic website banner on it's show
to depict the easy accessibilty and dangers of porn on the Internet. The banner showed a clear view of the genitals of a man and woman engaged in intercourse. It was not blurred out, or covered up. I wrote the FCC to protest saying in essence, "showing pornographic pictures on daytime television to illustrate the dangers of porn to our children is much like shooting someone to show them how dangerous guns can be." I received a reply from the FCC stating they "do not regulate cable television." End of story.

I could've sworn I heard him say "shit"! Everyone was chattering as they came back from break, reacting to the Bloomberg announcement and he said, I thought, "We're all here reacting on pretty much shit."

but all I'm getting is sh##%%*.....something like that, then he obviously realized he was on the air and went into his speel. Very embarrassing for tweets, I thought. Kind of showed what a jerk he is off the cameras yelling at everyone...

Will Matthews make it 'til the election?

Will there be some incident at this year's Bohemian Grove?

We need a Tweety Freakout pool.

Matthews has a raging hardon for Guiliani and has been pushing him for MONTHS. Bloomberg hurts Guiliani, so he's pissed.

Every now and then some kook gets through and uses all kinds of profanity. It's been happening a lot lately ever since the new moderator started, I think her name is Greta. She's young and cute. The guys must really like her. :)

If you say shit on the air, and it is unscripted the FCC can not really do anything about it.
