Breaking: Bloomberg Loses At The Starting Gate !!! - Why You Ask ???
Lieberman Supports Bloomberg's Switch To An Independent

<snip>

(Hartford-AP) _ Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman says he supports New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's decision to leave the Republican party and become an independent.

The change is fueling speculation that Bloomberg is running for president. He's said repeatedly that he isn't.

Lieberman knows a thing or two about leaving a major political party and going it alone. He ran for re-election last year as an independent after losing the Democratic primary, although he still caucuses with Senate Democrats. Lieberman, who was Al Gore's running mate on the Democratic presidential ticket in 2000, says Bloomberg has been successful as mayor of New York because he puts progress before partisanship.

4. Bloomberg running...
Would be Hillary's worst nightmare...also Rudy's, were he to be the Repub nominee. Who would win New York's votes? It could also be quite a shakeup of votes in one of our "anchor" areas--the Northeast. Then again, if Bloomberg had Chuck Hagel running with him, the Repubs could lose some key support in the Great Plains states, taking away some of their valuble base, too.

Also, isn't Hagel a Mormon? Think what might happen if Mitt isn't on the Repub's ticket...

LOTS of possibilities to ponder on this one...

B-)

6. Hagel is not a Mormon. He's a Catholic-turned-Episcopalian.

EDIT: Except for the fuckwit state of Connecticut, which insists on choosing the worst possible of all alternatives.
