Elizabeth Edwards recently accepted FTCR's highest honor, the Phillip Burton Public Service Award.
In her brilliant acceptance speech at our annual Rage For Justice Awards, Mrs. Edwards took on the tough topics of poverty, power, and her decision to continue a life of public service after her diagnosis.

One former Burton Award winner, with a healthy ego of his own, told me after Mrs. Edwards' speech, "That's the best political speech I have heard in a long time."
