3. I would amend the "Ice Cream is Yummy" to read
but hard on the tummy for those of us who are lactose-intolerant. Otherwise, I'm in full agreement. Carry on.

and skirted by a majority of the primary candidates.

I didn't even scratch the surface on the ridiculous tete-a-dipshit faux debates we have with the GOP-ers.

8. Senator Obama doesn't support marriage equality....
because of his religious beliefs. In other words, he does not support my legal right to marry because of his religious beliefs.

Yes, we've got a problem here.

12. sounds like a recipe for intolerance
I am right, and there is no debate.

Get the heck out of Iraq is not a no-brainer to me, although I did what I could to keep us from getting in.

Let two people who love each other get married

Better change that to 'two adults' because some people have married 9 year olds. Then again, it is legal for 14 year olds to marry in some states, with parental permission. Better add, 'unrelated' in front of adult as well, just in case the two people who love each other are brother and sister (or brother and brother, etc.). Perhaps these are obvious caveats, but not exactly what you said.

IMPEACH the bastards

Link? On what grounds? Where is the case made for impeachment?

vote for the Democrat

In 1996, I understood that Clinton had a huge lead. So I voted 3rd party to protest his 'triangulation'. I got a letter from my Congresswoman asking for money. She included an article from WSJ that said "In Kansas, Democrats turn to the right to keep seat". That's not a huge incentive for me to donate.

Let a woman make her own medical decisions.

Even if she is a drug addict or mentally disturbed? Does the doctor have any input? What about the husband (or sperm donor)? (The last two do not imply government interference, but do deviate from your 'no brainer' statement)

Healthcare for everybody.

How much? Basic, or total? Does that include plastic surgery? What about liposuction, botox, or stomach stapling? What about ED? I agree with basic healthcare being a right, but I certainly do not wanna pay for somebody's boner pills. I'm not even sure I wanna pay for the cancer treatment for a lifetime smoker, just as others do not wanna pay for the brain injury to a helmetless biker like myself.

Do not expect debate to cease, but here's what you can do. Make your best, iron-clad case for those. Run them past critics and fix flaws, then put them in your journal. If the topic comes up again on DU, then you can post 'this has been settled' with the link to your journal. Nothing is a no-brainer to a philosopher. We kick dust up into the air and then complain that we cannot see.

18. The only one I would change is...
Vote for the Democrat who has shown him/herself to be deserving of the label.

There are far too many DINOs for your blanket statement to have any merit.
