I know when the settlement was announced last year, there were some DUers posting that they were eligible. Epson was pulling a fast one by giving false alerts that your printer was out of ink, when in fact there was plenty of ink left in the cartridge. My Epson, a 740i purchased in 1999, was one of the models. I just went on the Epson site and purchased an $80.00 printer that had a $10.00 instant rebate plus the $45.00 E-Store settlement discount. Total price was only $25.00. You have to give them the last name on your court notice plus the Epson E-Store code number.

1. i got $25 check

i figured it was enough for something i had no idea about. luckily for other reasons i killed the printer and have been pleasantly printer free. cept i got a new one with my new i-mac, but it copies and scans too, so technically, i got a free scanner.

2. I decided to take the $45.00 discount because my 740i is 8 years old.

Been working perfect for all these years, but it's due to crap out at any time. Wish I could afford one of the new iMacs to go along with my little G4 iBook. How do you like yours?
