Does Giuliani secretly plan to get out of Iraq?

Or is he just dodging Iraq questions in order to keep from having sound bites out there that can be held against him? He's a wily one; you have to be to go after the mob. I'm wondering what DUers think of, according to TPM, his strange avoidance of questions about Iraq. Is this Giuli being cagey because he's smart enough to know Republicans don't want to hear Iraq is already lost? That would rich--Rudy running for the Republican nomination, but has to hide the fact that he's secretly not insane!

Or is he just being cagey because he's just a cagey guy?

1. Probably because ...

a) He doesn't have an answer

b) Since Iraq is a failed policy (seemly) supported by fewer and fewer repugs, the less one says about it, the better.

2. Not only does he not have an answer for what's going on, he's not even curious enough to learn

more about it. You'd figure he'd be interested in bulking up his non-existent foreign policy knowledge and experience, but he's hoping that he can just avoid the question and maybe no one will notice.

He's still the guy who let people get sick working on the rubble of the Twin Towers...he's still the guy who filled potholes with fill that possibly contained the remains of some of those lost on 9/11.

He's still the guy who nominated Bernard Kerik for Homeland Security, despite knowing Kerik's very obvious mob ties.

He's still the guy who was despised universally before two planes crashed into buildings, and like the president, parlayed it into almost universal support...does that make him qualified to be president...? I think not.
