I caught the episode where Babs and Dick are having sex. Well if you get past the point that the show makes Dick a child instead of as old as Babs, I can't figure out why sex with children is funny.

I admit they are a little stupid, but I think thats kind of the point. I like them because they actually call out the administration on all the things they fucked up. But thats just me, Im sure some people may have had a problem with them killing an Iraqi boy in the first episode. I think it's funny, not as good as South Park or The Daily Show but its pretty good.

I had to force it down, it really wasn't funny to me, too fucking real to be funny. It might in some way get some people to question these phsycos, but it's good that we're finally making this much fun of them. This would never have got this far just a couple of years ago, so, that's progress.

35. The problem with political comedy

Is that its not always driven by the individuals own political ideals. Usually comedians are just looking for things to take shots at. Political position be damned.

This is what I think is wrong with this show. Its just taking shots at Bush and Co. because they are down. Its opportunism. It doesn't really champion anything other than "kickem when their down".

It was too "On the Nose" as they say in theater. It wasn't satirical enough , it was more in your face and really redundant needlessly. For instance Lil Cheney likes to bite the heads off of animals and drink their blood. Funny once or twice but they had him do it too many times. I can't tell if it's for people who know what has happened or who need to be informed? Either way it was almost unwatchable by the end. I had the sad task of removing it from my shows to Tivo list.

Still it's great that it's safe to make fun of President Douchebag again. I hope it stays on even though it sucks because it is soooo not 2002 and I never want to go back there again.
