I had to drive a vehicle with a Bush-Cheney bumper sticker
First of all - thank you to all the liberals in my home town for not flipping me off or laughing at me. Second - the car is my mother-in-laws, long time rush listener, bill o'reilly lover, hillary hater.....I have to borrow the car for the summer (looong story) and after she gave me the keys she put her arm around me and whispered "you're welcome to put a new bumper sticker ANYWHERE you like!!!" :woohoo:

I only had to drive it one day with that sticker on it but it was a horrible feeling. I've refused to even ride in her car b/c of it. She finally told my husband maybe bush isn't doing too good of a job and maybe there is something to that global warming thing. Woohoo - one more of those stupid stickers off the road in red state Montana.

I just have to add one more thing - I live in Europe and just flew in last week and still haven't quite adjusted to the changes. I have brought my own bag to the store a few times and am not warmly received by the cashiers. I really hope that changes here soon.

The other big adjustment is to how much asphalt there is. Our town is sprawling with acres of unused parking lot space - it's blinding. And the size of the vehicles and parking spaces......it takes me a about a week to adjust. :)

4. Geez, I had a battered old Cavalier with a NASCAR sticker, and I was embarrassed--
can't imagine the shame and trauma of what you went through.

5. At least she said you could cover it up. In so many words.
Seriously, that is really kind of her.

6. Interesting...........
our stores here sell recycled, reusable bags. I take a few every time I go out. Wonder why that is down there?

9. Remember the duct tape ridge told you to buy
cut off a piece from the roll and cover the bumper sticker up, and when you are done with the car you can take the tape off and no one will know the difference, I actually do that sometimes when I drive on a military base and want to be incognito and don't want some military person to faint!

10. Much of the USA was built around automobiles. It is pretty amazing
Makes it hard to walk place to place, encourages driving on all that asphalt.
