I'm Beginning To Understand Why Studio 60 Is Going Off The Air......
they aren't very kind to *Co. They take shots at them any chance they could. They are spot on on their subtle criticism of *Co. They've dissed Rove a couple of times now and take shots at the pRes as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they are being forced off the air - to stop the criticism. Too bad - it really is a good show.

1. Unfortunately, that's not the problem. The problem is no one is watching it.
I tried, but it was a slog, and I gave up after a few episodes. And I usually LOVE Aaron Sorkin's work.

10. It's weird it's being discussed...
I watched it for the 1st time tonight. I like it. Too bad if it's being cancelled. :(

2. That and it is expensive and is the same episode every week
Crazy behind the scenes antics, but somehow, they pull off the show!

Boring as hell after one week, and Sorkin's directing style annoys me. The constant walking and overly wordy political montages by Mathew Perry or one of the other characters is just getting really old after the West Wing. This show is just the West Wing meets Saturday Night Live. Just doesn't work more than once.

I do like their anti-Bush slant, but I suspect that there just isn't a large enough audience of production insiders and Sorkin fans to keep it afloat.

3. Then why are so many other
shows that diss the President still on the air?

No, Studio 60 is going off cuz it sucked.

4. I took to the show almost instantly, but NBC dicked around with the schedule...

and they seemed far more interested in "Friday Night Lights".

It's hard to become loyal to a show when the network isn't.

5. I think the Freepers brought it down...

Especially after last week's episode, where they more or less made fun of them without mentioning them by name.

Not really, you understand. They're too stupid to know they were being made fun of anyway. Also, I very much doubt they would watch anything involving Aaron Sorkin.

6. I watched until that horrible stuck-on-rooftop episode
The writing was way too pretentious and self-important. It's not that great of a show and nobody watched it. That's the reason why it's going off the air.

8. I think this is a wonderful show. It's nice to see something different. Yes it has the Sorking
fast walk/talk thing, but I love that, so it was all good. Sorry to see the networks catering to the stupid people again.
I'll definitely miss the cast. What a wonderful combination of people...

9. I am a huge Sorkin fan
but this show is hit and miss. I will miss it but there were some clunker episodes (the one with Allison Janney was really poor for example). A show as expensive as that one has to be on all the time. It simply wasn't.

11. It's a show about doing a show.
Kind of like Dick Van Dyke, except not as good. The whole thing was kind of embarrassing.
