"Guest Of CNN’s Beck: Watching Someone Murder The Clintons Would Be ‘Great’
Last night on CNN Headline News, host Glenn Beck and former GOP consultant and radio host Michael Graham discussed a new video of President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) spoofing the final episode of the Sopranos.

During the conversation, Graham asked Beck if he wanted to see the Clintons murdered in the video. “eriously, Glenn, didn’t you at one point want to see, like, Paulie Walnuts or someone come in and just whack them both right there. Wouldn’t that have been great?” Beck responded with a smile, “No, I did not want to see that.” Graham said, “C’mon. … I wanted that.”

2. Here's the E-mail I sent CNN over this.
How much longer ia America going to have to endure Glen Beck? Last nights show was disgusting. He and his guest talked and laughed about how they would have enjoyed watching the Clinton's being murdered. In case you're unaware here's a transcript:

GRAHAM: With her — her large, overweight, powerful husband — and she’s using his power to get what she wants. At some point — but seriously, Glenn, didn’t you at one point want to see, like, Paulie Walnuts or someone come in and just whack them both right there. Wouldn’t that have been great?

BECK: No, I did not want to see that.

GRAHAM: C’mon. Where’s Big Pussy? C’mon, let’s make it happen.

BECK: No, I did not want to see that.

GRAHAM: I wanted that.

This is despicable and unacceptable. Is this CNN's idea of thoughtful and entertaining conversation? Would you allow a liberal host and guest to casually toss around the idea that they would like to see the former president Bush and his wife killed?

All the vile stupidity aside Beck's ratings are in the toilet. He sucks and it shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement. May I suggest the former Air America host Sam Seeder. He can provide thoughtful, informative and engaging conversation and would likely boost your ratings.
Please I implore you for your sake and America's dump Glen Beck.

11. I REALLY believe that when you write a letter...
Edited on Fri Jun-22-07 08:36 AM by iamahaingttta
...or send an email like that to a media outlet, you need to mention the sponsors. You need to tell them that you will no longer patronize their sponsors, and you need to cc one or two of their sponsors. If we would start doing that EVERYTIME we send notes to media outlets, they may get the picture.

Otherwise, they think that they are doing their job! They don't care if they piss you off! In fact, if they piss you off enough to make you write them, it means that you're paying attention. It means that your eyeballs are glued to the screen, and the advertising is sinking in.

I don't know who advertises on Glen Beck's show, since I've never watched it. But I believe that when contacting CNN, one needs to include a line like "...and I will stop purchasing products from XYZ Corp as long as they continue to sponsor his show." cc XYZ CORP. NOT a separate email, so that XYZ and CNN know that you've contacted both.

A dozen emails that include the sponsors is worth more than a million that don't.

4. Isn't it against the law to threaten someone, especially on TV i
with everyone listening. Remember how the secret service descended on a young school girl because she posted a picture of bush on Youtube with an X across it. Remember they just had a trial and sentenced someone to prison because he said he would like to kill bush. The guy said he "wanted" to not that he was going to...but he was jailed anyway.

Now we have two people on CNN threatening an ex-president and a presidential candidate and nothing is done. I think both of them AND CNN should be sued for the maximum amount of money they can get.

6. but you don't understand
the Clintons are Democrats. Bush has told us all Democrats are terrorists. So it is ok to want to kill them :sarcasm:

5. He's serving a larger interest
I'm reminded of the end of Network where Ned Beatty's character wants Beal to be the spokesman for his "new evangel" or whatever he called it. Even though the ratings sucked, it was more important to the corporate/political bottom line to have him go on TV to spread Beatty's propaganda.

7. CNN will eventually bow to ratings and axe his show...
...but until then, I imagine they rather like his particular distract-the-rubes act. They'll replace him with a different white male conservative, and we'll crow over our "victory."

12. That is why I NEVER ...
watch the guy ...

I have to admit, I sometimes puruse Fox just to see what agenda the right is pushing at any given time ... But, I have had a pretty set rule to NEVER watch Beck from the very beginning ... I heard him on XM a couple times, and I knew the man was a mentally deranged twit, who had a way of selling VERY dangerous messages in his little, cut, backhanded way ...

Just don't watch him, CNN will cycle him out eventually ...

Got to agree, that they will just find another Tucker Carlson or whatever, but you can only deal with what is at hand ...

9. I wrote to them too. Told them I had removed them from my Television Guide so that
no one in my home could ever watch them again and that I was telling all my neighbors, friends and family that they were supporting someone who wants to see an Ex President of the U.S. and a sitting Senator murdered. I also told them I am writing to their advertisers. I will but gosh, there are just so many outrages anymore, it's hard to keep up.

10. He's Got A Contract...Play Him Or Pay Him
Beck is awful...to quote the GOOD Beck..."he's a loser, babe...". But he's one CNN bought and, just like a baseball team, they are required by his contract to "play him or pay him". My bets are he's got a great agent who has CNN over the barrelhead...if they take him off, they'll not just liable for the remainder of his contract, but various penalties...or penalties if they move him to another time slot.

Much of this shows the incompetence of CNN management...the money they've wasted on "talent" and what they've gotten in return for it. They finally are deep-sixing Paula Zahn...after only 6 years of mucking up the place...but she had a no-cut deal and it was cheaper to keep her on and get shitty ratings than pay the penalties of yanking her off the air.

I used to watch Headline News ages ago when it was Headline News. Now it's Faux Lite and a poor one at that. Time/Warner has totally mismanaged CNN...just another example.

Comments like that are just more fuel for the fire. Send him and Nasty Grease over to Faux where they belong...
