a challenge. . .
There have been other threads about trying to determine one good thing that * has done during his tenure and mostly all anyone could come up with was when he signed the "Do Not Call List" bill.

So here's a different challenge.

Try to come up with one truthful statement that has ever come out of the VP's mouth ever. . .

Maybe when he said after he shot his friend in the face that he felt badly. Who wouldn't. . .? But then it oddly became his friends fault.

Needless to say any of us would be doing serious time.

Can anyone else come up with any other pearls of truth from mr "hogwash. . .". . . ?

6. Good luck finding that one.
It was 1998, but I think the original sources for the quote were scrubbed
from the WWWebs the other year.

I quoted it once at DU, 2 years ago...and I googled it to make sure of the year;
there were a ton of hits.

I quoted it again last year, did the same Google, and found nothing but a few
links to blogs and discussion boards.

8. I have one....
"Principle is okay up to a certain point, but principle doesn't do any good if you lose." - Dick Cheney, White House Chief of staff - 1976

A very telling truth of the way the Cyborg thinks.
:grr:

9. To get out of serving in 'Nam, he said he "had other priorities."
Edited on Fri Jun-22-07 12:32 PM by No Surrender
Other than that, I'm drawing a blank.

on edit, the actual quote:

“I had other priorities in the 60's than military service.”

Fuck you, Dick.

10. You are absolutely right.
Can't believe I didn't think of that one.

And strangely none of those drafted did though. I'm sure.

13. I thought of that one
but since it's a physical impossibility, it kinda falls into a grey area.

I doubt that he wasn't being honest about wanting to curse him out but wasn't Leahy confronting him about Halliburton?

Nothing fishy with that issue at all.

Now watch me take all the loot I stole from you and your kids and their kids and relocate to Dubai. Okay. . .?

12. I think he told the truth when he said he wasn't part of the Executive
Branch. He really isn't. His actions have been outside of his powers as Vice President and mostly outside of the Constitution. He certainly is not part of the Executive Branch as the founding fathers envisioned it.
