At least here in L.A., it's been like the norm for 25 years....people have giant mortgages in the suburbs that require two incomes, since they move out there to "have a family" that is how they do it half the time, leaving the kids with Consuela every day.

Not only childcare but maids, gardeners and everything else. If those people "came out of the shadows" or they "enforced the law" and sent them all back, either way, that costs a lot of GOP burb-ers their "way of life."

If you go to any park in Encino, Studio City, Thousand Oaks, Pasadena.....you will see latin women pushing white kids on swings. That is just the reality. Sometimes it's an exploitve relationship with the employers and sometimes those people become like part of the family; either way the "Mexicans are taking over, send them all back!" rhetoric doesn't go over with the millions who employ the people who they want to deport, many times these are GOP voters.

I really think the GOP is going to lose a lot of votes with the Duncin' Hunter stuff.

They also forget that to a lot of people, undocumented Mexicans are CUSTOMERS....convenience stores in the inner city, general stores on the border, not to mention the billions Proctor and Gamble and other corporations pay to advertise on Spanish language TV. Do you think they want to see a visa before they sell those people anything?

They just seem to have a huge problem with reality. It's like McCain saying "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! IF WE LOSE THE WAR IT WILL BE CATASTROPHIC!" Dude, it's been lost for YEARS!
