There has got to be a major turf battle going on between Bush and his staff and Cheney and his staff. They can save Bush and Repub party in one move.

They demand Cheney's resignation and call him the bad guy - they put their new VP puppet in place - that new VP can run for President as an almost incumbent - Bush can save his reputation by trying to look like he is cleaning up the WH - they blame Cheney for all of the failings in Iraq intelligence, the war and the national debt - they can stop further investigations into Bush/WH (and Injustice Department) wrong doing - the move will save the Repub party.

The only question - can Bush really make Cheney resign.
