It's Friday, and I won't be driving home from work tonight, being retired.

We live in a nice place surrounded by trees, birds, wildlife, and quiet.

It's cool outside.

I'm drinking a good cup of coffee.

Getting ready for a good read and a nap.

Got a wonderful wife.

I'm in fairly good health.

I've shed myself of ambitions or the desire to "accomplish" anything.

Had a nice walk with a neighbor who has Alzheimer's who smiled.

I've barely escaped death a few times and appreciate being alive, and life itself.

And, a whole slew of other reasons that the daily magic show provides.

I've also given up the notion that politicians, or any other "leaders", are going to do much but make things worse. Which saves a lot angst, depression, and outrage.
