I was starting to think it forgot to rain today! Nope, here it is another storm.
So it has rained here (eastern OK) -every day in June- so far. And I've misplaced those damn Ark plans.

1. Same here in South Central Texas.
We've had the most bizarre June/summer so far; not typical at all for this region. It rains almost every day.

3. It's crazy. All the lakes are brimming. We live on Ft. Gibson
(no danger, we're at 595 feet but it makes it a bitch to put the boat in) :D

5. Wow. I guess we shouldn't complain though;
usually by now everything's starting to dry up and turn brown here; instead it's like a rainforest - all lush and green and lots of bugs. :hi:

2. And here in southern Illinois, the drought is getting palpable.
The garden has totally stopped growing, the lawn crackles when you walk on it and the fear of fire is pretty strong. It hasn't rained since back in early May.

4. Wow, that's surprising. Didn't know...I was born in Centralia, have family
(some, still) around there. I'll try to send some rain up that way!

12. Send all you can; I live about twenty miles east of Centralia and
twenty miles north of Mt. Vernon. We had one small shower once and it has sprinkled twice but not enough to do more than settle the dust.
Each week, they've predicted t-storms, usually on thursday and friday, although this week it was monday-tuesday and thurs-fri and nary a drop. I'm pretty worried that my well is going to go dry, since it's a shallow well, and that's going to make it pretty tough.

14. That's awful. I hope your well stays healthy! My grandma lived in Salem
and had a shallow well...a very long time ago. It sure does seem like there's some climate change going on. I'm sitting here watching the rain pour down still...almost 2 inches. We do get (normally) a decent amount in June but this is WAY over the ordinary.

8. We're just getting sprinkles here in Pryor.
I see, though, that there's quite a bit of rain on the radar.

18. You're right, I almost forgot that. I work a little with our local volunteer FD
and they were inundated (as it were) with wildfires this time last year. Heesh...

19. 8 a.m., and it's pouring down here now.
It's been years since I've seen this much rain in June.

9. What is this rain thing you speak of?
We used to get it here in California in the winter, but it's been in pretty short supply recently. My plants can usually get by with what the heavy clay soil absorbs during the rainy season supplemented with supplemental watering once a week, but not this year.
