3. If they close it, they will just send those people to some other country

where they can be more easily tortured out of the sight of anyone. At least Senators and Congressmen can tour Guantanamo occasionally.

Now, I do believe they should close it, but they should be required to release all the prisoners or charge them under US law, in US courts subject to the usual rules of evidence, etc.
