Attorneys at law. Since Bush and Cheney can disregard |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-23-07 01:23 AM by Jack Sprat
the law at will, why don't you appeal the convictions of all non-violent felons currently incarcerated in all the prisons in your area? If they haven't murdered, attempted to murder, tortured, or done physical harm or threatened physical harm to another human being, then they are no more of a danger to society than the Prez and Vice. In fact, the way I see it, with the exception of violent crimes, the law no longer applies because we are supposed to be equals under the law. But now, as St Paul might say, Bush and Cheney have come to exonerate those who violated the old law by their very lives. They have put aside the old law and established a new covenant of lawlessness, wherein they have invalidated the law that once was and hath replaced it with neocon law, whence laws and the rule of law need not be recognized, much less circumcised. In doing so, all former violators of the law need not be circumcised and set free.

1. All former violators can now be circumcised? |
|
As to your premise, it's faulty. Bush and Cheney have not been convicted of any crimes, thus your argument would be thrown out of court in a New York second.
Plus, what other people get away with has no bearing on one's conviction.

3. I corrected the last line, so that my premise is |
|
no longer faulty and makes perfect sense. The Prez and Vice have not been convicted. That is true. Yet, they are daily in open defiance of the law. This renders all U.S. law meaningless and unenforceable. By my decree, all non-violent prisoners held in the states, territories, and possessions of the United States, shall be released forthwith and their non-violent crimes removed from their records. I make this decree, on behalf of all citizens who once respected the rule of law until Bush and Cheney decided to defecate on it.

now says they need not be circumcised.
I'm very unclear as to what circumcision has to do with your argument. But leaving foreskin aside, your premise IS faulty. What somebody else gets away with is in no way a valid legal defense for another charge.
And I'm sure the courts will give your "decree" all the legal weight it deserves.

7. So what exactly are you saying? |
|
Are you telling me that you are defending this pair of thugs, who have openly admitted to unauthorized wiretapping of citizens, undermining the Justice Dept, using the Justice Dept to commit election fraud, outing a covert CIA agent (a treasonable offense), running a secret government in defiance of Constitutional law, and an assortment of international crimes, including lying to the Congress concerning causes of war, using known fraudulent documents to justify it, laying waste to Habeus Corpus, the Geneva Convention, etc, etc, etc?
Because if you are, then you are under arrest, yourself, dude.

2. Not sure it will work, got a speeding ticket and tried to do a "signing |
|
statement" the speed limit was too low but the officer didn't buy it. He did have a sense of humor though and knew where I was going with that.

5. Now you see, you were completely within your rights |
|
Having set the precedent for signing statements to circumvent the law, you were just acting in accordance with Bush's new covenant of lawlessness. All law enforcement officers must report to Washington and arrest these criminals for their blatant disregard for the law, or I charge that U.S. laws are no longer legitimate and certainly not enforceable.

6. You can charge all you want |
|
but your premise is ridiculous.
Because Bush gets away with shit doesn't mean all laws are now moot.

9. MonkeyFunk, I will decide what law now exists and in what |
|
forms it exists in. I want to make a citizens arrest on you immediately for disputing my good word, in a provocative manner. Report to the nearest authorities and tell them you are guilty of being an arrogant and stupid supporter of the Bush Crime Family and their friends in crime. Just do it, NOW! Snap those heels together when I give you an order, MondeyFunk.

Wish I had the nerve to try something like that. Then again, our police dept is not known for its sense of humor.
