Michael Moore in Denver THIS SUNDAY!

Dear Colorado PDAers,

Progressive politics and activism are heating up in Colorado.
Here’s the scoop:

1) SICKO – Michael Moore in Denver this Sunday – June 24
Rally @ 6 PM

Michael Moore will be here in Denver on Sunday at 6:00 pm on the West Steps of the Capitol for a Single Payer (HR 676 – Expanded Medicare for All) Rally. Health Care for All Colorado (HCAC) is the primary sponsor and PDA is one of the co-sponsors.

The first 25 folks who contact me letting me know they’ll be there and can help leaflet for PDA will receive a free ticket for a special screening at the Denver Pavilions that night at 7:15. If you can’t make it PLEASE go to the Preview at the Mayan this Saturday 6/23 at 7:00 pm. It’ll open at more theaters if it’s packed at the previews! The more folks that see the film the more likely we can get HR 676 passed!

2) Help Elect Another Progressive to Congress –
Election this Tuesday 6/26!

CA-PDA needs our Help! - Peter Mathews is running in a special election for Congress in CD 37 in CA. Peter is progressive in all the ways that PDA is. Check out www.mathewsforcongress.org for more info on Peter. He actually has a shot at winning but the GOTV effort is going to be crucial. This is where we come in.

We can help contact voters by phone. Yesterday I made 30 calls and it was EASY. The election is Tuesday 6/26. If you have time please consider making Congress more progressive by helping out in this effort. Contact California’s PDA State Coordinator Dr. Bill at [e-mail]. Tell him Evi sent you.

3) IMPEACH’EM Vigil at the Denver Post –
Every Wednesday @ Rush Hour

Join us every Wednesday from 4:45 – 6:00 pm at the intersection of Broadway and Colfax in front of the Denver Post Building. If downtown Denver is too far away organize something locally. People pressure is the only way Bush & Co. will be impeached.

4) Save the PDA-Meeting Dates.

Denver PDA will meet on Tuesday 7/10 from 6-8 pm at the Blair Caldwell Library (24th and Welton) and Boulder PDA will have a kickoff Meeting on Saturday 8/25 (time and place TBA).
