Michael Moore: Kucinich is 100 per cent on board with health care reform!
This is a diary I posted over at DailyKos. Here's the original www.dailykos.com/story/2007/6/23/172943/643

"Speaking at a health care town meeting here following a screening of his new movie, “SiCKO,” Moore said he will be asking candidates to sign his four-part pledge and urged his audience to "hold the candidates' feet to the fire" on the issue of health care reform."

What's more,

"Moore was critical of other Democratic Presidential candidates who, he said, have raised more than $3 million so far this year from individuals and political action committees representing the for-profit companies in the health care industry. By contrast, Kucinich’s contributions have come from individuals supporting a bill sponsored by Kucinich and U.S. Rep. John Conyers to create a national, not-for-profit health plan that would cover all medical, dental, mental health and long-term care for all Americans. Moore endorsed that legislation earlier this week."

Here's the link: Kucinich 100% on board. http://kucinich.us/node/4683

The question is thus raised: Is your candidate for Universal Health Care, or are they for the pofits of the insurance industry? We know where Dennis Kucinich stands. Where does your candidate stand?

Dennis helped to write HR 676 http://kucinich.us/issues/universalhealth.php, the Conyers/Kucinich bill for Universal Single Payer Not for Profit Health Care for all Americans. Does your candidate's plan cover all, or will there people who slip through the cracks with promises to take care of them later?

Michael Moore has endorsed endorsed HR 676. http://kucinich.us/node/4652

video

Is your candidate ready to do the same? Are you ready to pressure Congress to support Universal Single Payer Not for Profit Health Insurance?

video

When your candidate speak on health care, does the audience stand and cheer like they do for Dennis?

video

We have a leader who doesn't have strings attached to the insurance companies, and he's willing to go to the wall for HR 676. Can you say the same for your candididate?

video

I say support HR 676, and I'm proud to say that I support Dennis Kucinich for president!

This will be cross-posted to my blog rjones2818.blogspot.com soon, and it should inlcude the video.

1. Welcome to DU!
And thanks for the information. Earlier today, I read an article from Huffingtonpost about lobbyists in the "top three" candidates (R and D), and several lobbyists were from drug companies or insurance companies. Glad to know DK is not getting $ from them.

8. Michael Moore appeared on "The View"
Edited on Sat Jun-23-07 08:24 PM by antigop
He was asked if there are any presidential candidates that have a solution to the healthcare problem

He said, "No. Well -- there is, but he's not running -- Al Gore."

He never mentioned Kucinich or HR 676.

5. Where are the "Why doesn't Moore support Kucinich's bill" threads now?
I wish some people would have more patience.

10. No, it was a legitimate question
Moore had the opportunity on nationwide TV to mention HR 676.

Why didn't he mention it on "The View"?

Instead, he mentioned Al Gore, who, to my knowledge, hasn't even mentioned a healthcare plan.
