Central Fla. Residents Facing Eviction Prepare For Battle
Central Fla. Residents Facing Eviction Prepare For Battle

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Some of more than 100 residents, mostly senior citizens, facing eviction by their landlord, began leaving their homes Saturday from land that is apparently being eyed for new condominiums or even a school expansion.

However, dozens of others have refused a cash offer to leave and plan to stay on their property.

Recently, a developer set a June 29 deadline to vacate the College Park Leisure Homes located on Maury Road in Orange County.

The residents are being forced out of their homes by Demetree Builders, Local 6 reported.

"We all are just furious," resident Dianne Mann said. "It is just terrible, terrible, terrible."

"The property that was once eyed for Edgewater High School expansion is a place where some say their already frail loved ones have crumbled in the stress of losing their homes," Local 6's Charnel Wright said.

2. Ya know
I have seen a lot of terribly reported news of late. I read usnpl.com, which links to all the papers and news stations in the US, and some of the crap I have seen has left me scratching my head at times :)
