5. I heard TWO ignoramuses defending Cheney's constitutional role, waxing
crazily on how he's NOT subject to scrutiny because as "president pro tempore" of the senate, he's not part of the executive branch

these MORANS are such ill-informed jackasses from the getgo, and merely display their aggressive ignorance.

they can't even get the simplest of concepts straight, that being that the president pro tem of the senate is a .......

SENATOR!!!!

obviously the host didn't know the difference, either, or one would think he'd correct the idiot callers

I know it's asking too much to get the simplest facts correct, but the wingnuts exist on falsehoods and misinformation

3. I heard that. did she get ANYthing right? how many lies did she tell?
and did you see the Daily Kos guy before her?????

he let EVERY SINGLE lie all the crazy callers told go by without comment, INCLUDING allowing the BS about talk radio being a creature of the market, without commenting on the COMPLETE concentration of the market in the hands of outfits like Salem, Clear Channel, ABC etc., who almost exclusively program winguts, even to their economic disadvantage

he was absolutely pathetic, not ONE time offering a strong counter opinion. he sounded JUST like the wimpy faux-dems we're accustomed to seeing on regular TV

I really couldn't believe it. makes me wonder what goes on at DK.

I hope somebody else saw that; can't see how anybody wouldn't be as appalled as I was

JESUS!!!!!!

6. Should have had Ed Schultz on
Though not everyone here agrees with Big Eddie, on Friday he tore into wingers who called and made these same points. He even went so far as to challenge a caller to find a conservative think tank who could prove him wrong. He had facts and figures at his fingertips, and named broadcast groups who gave progressive radio a chance and quoted owners of those who wouldn't saying that they had an agenda to push, market be damned.

The whole rw method is to put out lies and have them repeated over and over again to give the impression that they are the truth. They must be refuted STRONGLY every time.

7. agreed,though I don't listen to him anymore on AA, because of what you cite.
he's way too conservo for me, but has done a decent job on TV shows, especially in comparison to that little pantywaist this morning

I'm still SEETHING over his emasculato performance

even when discussing immigration, which the nutjobs calling in, and the RW blogger said is THE ISSUE for 2008, this wimp couldn't even muster the simple response that ALL THEY HAVE TO DO is PROSECUTE the rich aholes who hire the illegal immigrants, and the 'problem' will be solved very quickly

amazingly disgusting performance by that DLC-sounding blogger

pathetic beyond words

12. OTOH, Bluey's (sp?) whining about...
the liberals' advantage because they can blog full time when he's being funded by the Heritage Foundation was pretty puke inducing.

13. he is PAID to blog by the heritage?
that explains a lot.

But that Kos guy kept head up like he was looking down at everyone. Not a very practiced speaker, and too DLC for me, but at least they had someone who wore a tie.

15. He's paid by Heritage to do something.
I didn't catch whether they pay him to blog but he's obviously not a poor little church mouse.

16. that was another thing that infuriated me about the Kos simp:
he KNOWS very well what a bogus "think tank" both AEI and Heritage are

they are competely under the aegis of the super rich and the mega corps

WHY don't dems point this out at every opportunity

those "foundations" are nothing but research on demand, platforms for the justification of the goals of global corporatism, and the sooner the general populace realizes this, the better off they'll be

wishful thinking, I realize, but it's amazing how the media brings these AEI/HF shills on every single day without questioning the venality of the relationship between them, the corporations, the ultra rich fucks, AND the White House, a LARGE percentage of whose consultants in almost every area have ties to those two, and other equally bogus 'think tanks'

4. the Kool Aid drinkers get their talking points and then go to their phones
I listened to the Howard Stern interview with Michael Moore, and one woman called in, saying she was a long time subscriber to "Cyrus" and a long time listener to Stern who was going to stop both because Howard had Michael on. After she hung up, the two commented on the fact that it sounded like she was reading from an email from some rw group--the fact that she didn't even know the subscription service was Sirius sort of gave it away.

In that same interview, a winger on Stern's staff laid into Michael, and said that if he didn't have the money for a heart transplant for his own son, he'd rather the son die than to get it via "socialized medicine". THAT sort of silenced everyone for a moment. Then someone said something about being so steeped in rw ideology that common sense went out the window.
