I saw this film yesterday, about Jeff Key a gay Marine who is now a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War.
Jeff is from Alabama, and put together a one man show called "Eyes Over Babylon". The film talks about his play, his experience in Iraq and how it was an eye opening experience for him.
It was great to have the audience hiss and boo at Smirky (who has the nerve to say "join me in this battle"), and give Jeff a standing ovation. He said "don't let anyone say you are not supporting the troops. You are right now by being here!"
http://www.semperfithemovie.com/He is starting the Mehadi Foundation, to help Veterans and Iraqis alike.
Watch it on Showtime tomorrow night, I think at 8:30. And more important, if you know any homophobic war supporters, they would definitely benefit from watching it!
