-- Judith Giuliani is still avoiding the spotlight months after her disastrous debut as a presidential candidate's wife.

Judi has been a no-show at many of husband Rudy's fund-raisers for nearly three months, including one held a few weeks ago at billionaire financier Carl Icahn's Fifth Avenue apartment.

Staffers say Judi's been gun-shy since March, when her rambling speech at her husband's first major fund-raiser garnered unflattering reviews from the press.

What was she thinking when she debuted as Rudy's running mate? She's supposedly very hurt by the bad press. Did she think no one would discover her job at US Surgical where she stood at the operating table as perfectly healthy dogs were cut open, bled, stapled, and tossed aside as garbage for the sake of making a sale?
