Not a fan of DiFi (Diane Feinstein) and know about Hubby Defense Contracts BUT!!!!!! |
|
She REALLY KNOWS how to FRAME ISSUES better than most Dems. I have NEVER been a Fox Viewer...have been on DU long time...but in Desperation I tuned to Faux when MSNBC (doing Crime) and CNN (doing Lou Dobbs repeat) were on and I was desperate to find stuff about WaPo's investigation of CHENEY.
So...I hit Faux...and heard her with Trent Lott. I've also listened to the C-Span III's hearings where Feinstein has asked some crucial and important questions of Gozon and Crew.
Everything I've seen of Feinstein lately leads me to believe that (whether she's afraid of exposure of her Hubby or she has TURNED on BUSHIES for whatever reason) she really has a great delivery of Dem Talking Points, handles herself incredibly well and Frames our Dem issues..very FAIRLY.
Faux was the ONLY CABLE I could find who would TALK ABOUT what we here are interested in. I assume it's Roger Ailes positioning himself to the Left/Center being clever enough to see that MSNBC/CNN in running after his "model" have now left a GAP in coverage on Sunday night. I can't stand Roger Ailes and refused to watch Faux since it came on....but my desperate search revealed at leas a decent discussion between Fienstein and Trent Lott.. It was better than what Chris Matthews does.

4. DiFi should not enable that GROSS mouthpiece for the republican party. |
|
Albeit she BASICALLY held her own, she just smiled as Trent Lott said at the end that the Federal Attorney Scandal is "all about politics." Then POOF! She smiles and rubs elbows with Lott about Sear-sucker day (1st day of summer) and how they should get along better. :wtf: :puke:
FOX is NOT a News Network - the rest barely past muster, if that.
DiFi is way too smooth - IMO she would not appeal to the average struggling American. :(

2. She's one of the few women that actually |
|
looks Presidential to me.
This is not to bash females, not all men look Presidential either. Bush doesn't.

Boxer is too carbonated.
Ollie Snowe too much a hardass.

8. Just a note on 'females' and 'men'... |
|
'female' is not limited to humans, while 'men' is specific to humans.
They're not really comparable terms.

12. Yeah, it's Males and Females - Men and Women - Boys and Girls - Guys and Gals. |
|
I know gals sounds western coypokish, but the TRUE equivalent to GUY is not GIRL but GAL. ;)

14. But women can be referred to as 'guys' in the plural form. |
|
'Gals' grates on me, but you are technically correct. Perhaps that's the Yankee part of me.

5. She's no dummy and she's very articulate as you noted, which is |
|
why she got where she is today. The problem is that she's lost touch with us, the little people, who voted for her to begin with, now we are just stuck with her because she is always the candidate. No one who is serious really wants to run against her because she too well entrenched both with money and connections.

9. I know her constituents aren't happy with her...and maybe she's a snake...but she did very well. |
|
So...I don't know what to make of it except a Kudo to her for how she handled herself with Trent Lott.
I worry about her Hubby's Defense Contracts and that she could be "two-timing" us. But, given Harry Reid and some of the rest of our Dems performance...I'll give an "A" to Feinstein...so far since Dems took over small majority in Senate. She does Stand Up and make her postion known. More Liberal Dems seem to get tongue tied when trying to talk about what Dems are doing in House and Senate.
Sick of "tongue tied, waffeling Dems... and she was impressive...on Faux...and their RW Females might actually take a look at what she's saying. Seemed to me, anyway.
