Giuliani Faces a Potential Fall From Catholic Grace
"At first glance, Rudolph W. Giuliani should be an appealing presidential candidate for observant Roman Catholics. The grandchild of Italian immigrants, Mr. Giuliani went to Catholic schools, considered joining the priesthood, and as mayor of New York battled a museum that exhibited a painting of the Virgin Mary adorned in elephant dung.
But church leaders say they are frustrated by prominent Catholic politicians like Mr. Giuliani who argue that while they are personally opposed to abortion, they do not want to impose their beliefs on others."

3. I'm out of the loop! Who's harboring a child molester? Giuliani?

I thought the Pope kinda liked child molesters or those who protect them! Remember this guy from Boston, Cardinal Law? He basically enabled some of the pedopriest cases...

He's now having fun at the Vatican, I think.

4. According to the Catholic Church isn't Rudy G. living in sin?
He managed to buy an Annulment for his 1st marriage but not his second or the one he is in now. I don't care about that but this post is about his Catholicism. I believe that Rudy G. is an Asshole, Con Artist and am astounded that anyone would support him.He was no hero of 911 and is responsible for many deaths during that attack and after.

7. geez, and two divorces don't faze them
He got the first marriage to his cousin annulled, but not the second to Donna Hanover, IIRC.

9. The Bishops find his stance on abortion to be 'grave'
But not his behavior towards his family during the waning year of his mayoralty?
I'm more appalled by that episode of nihilism.

10. You mean the marrying a first cousin, then divorcing her while living
with his girlfriend and oh, the cross dressing didn't do it? Oh, I forget abortion concerns women's rights something the old boy's club in the Catholic hierarchy aren't too concerned about.

11. It is beginning to appear that being a Catholic Politician
requires one to be a Pro-Life Republican.

This is the treatmentJKerry received. Bishops
were announcing they would not permit him to
receive Communion in certain Catholic Churches.
