Is anyone else watching this show? My wife and I have been watching it since the beginning and tonight's episode blew my mind. It really brought home the horror of war, and this war in particular, in a very real way tonight.
So far we've both been very impressed. The best thing Lifetime has ever done, in my opinion.

1. I have a hard time getting hooked on soap operas, |

and Army Wives sounded like a soap opera. Do they actually express liberal views on the show? Do the wives do more than jump from bed to bed? Can you give a little more details?

2. The wives don't jump from bed to bed at all... |

From what I can tell, the show simply deals with the realities of being attached to the army, but not IN the army. My wife, who WAS an Army wife, says its really spot-on in a lot of ways.
It deals pretty even handedly with things like the war, protesting, uncertainty, individuality vs. conformity, etc. It's no cheering section for military life or warfare, that much I can tell you right now.
It's no "Desperate Housewives" for the military set.
