3. Why certainly, do you expect them to vote Republic? |
|
I mean, that is what I get told when ordered to continue to vote for Dems who cast anti-gay votes. Why should it be any different on abortion?

6. I believe it depends on the circumstances. Let's say you're from |
|
Georgia, and the majority of the population (except Atlanta)is "pro-life". I would rather have a pro-life Dem in Congress than any Pub, so I would vote for the Dem. As much as I hate it when Dems vote against MY personal preferrences, they ARE elected by the majority in their district to do as the majority wants.

8. Of course they would, if they are "good" Democrats! |
|
If they are good Democrats, the issues don't matter as long as the "D" wins.
Only "losers" who won't get off their asses to "work for issue groups" would withhold their vote due to failure to represent an issue!
Or, so I've been told.
What do I think? I think that if a rep isn't working against a vital issue, he hasn't earned the vote.

10. Depends on the opposition. |
|
And--to comply with your wishes in the other thread, I didn't vote since this poll fails to serve my needs properly. :eyes:

I'm sick of this canard.
Would you rather Casey lost in PA and we still had Santorum in the Senate? Work for pro-choice candidates in the primaries, but once it gets to generals a non-vote for a pro-life dem is often as good as a vote for a pro-life asshole like Santorum.
If you can't see the difference then you need to get off the one issue and realize that there's a bigger picture.

14. I still think that was a planned ploy of the Pubs all along. |
|
I don't know if they planted the Pub candidate (who was a real idiot) or not, but the Pubs in power quickly saw there was no way he was going to win ANYTHING, so they courted old Joe! It was the Pubs who really elected that idiot, and some of the Dems who had actually received help from Joe over the years. I'd love to hear from THOSE voters now. I wonder if they still like him?

16. ~150,000 Democrats voted for him, and ~200,000 republicans voted for him... |
|
... You can SAY it "was the Pubs who really elected that idiot" as much as you want, but the numbers are there for all to see.

17. How many Dems in Ct. believe Joe saved their jobs, or really |
|
helped THEM PERSONALLY over the 18 years? he's been in office?
I don't live in Ct. and I'm just repeating what I heard, but I really did hear that Joe saved the Submarine Company in Grotton, and several other companies whose names I don't recall. Surely he's done SOME good things over that length of time! I can see why a voter would still vote for him, purely out of gratitude, and THINK he would still remain a Dem. After all, he did promise to do that, didn't he?

18. You (and everybody else) claim that "republicans elected him". That's just a bunch of shit... |
|
... BOTH sides voted for him. As to the rest, I could give a rat's ass about their "justifications". Maybe the folks in Louisiana who AREN'T getting a Katrina investigation feel differently. But I doubt it.
