1. Dave Winfield Says Baseball is "Dropping The Ball"

It isn’t just in South America.

Dave Winfield seems to have the same attitude as many cited in these articles. I’ve heard him interviewed on a few sports shows and he doesn’t acknowledge that many Latino baseball players are black. Maybe he thinks that they are the “wrong kind” of black. A local sports talk jock here in Phoenix asked Dave if he wasn’t a bit racist but got no answer.

"Winfield creatively illustrates dwindling African-American participation in the game through a time-warp chapter called, "the last black major leaguer."

... just like Americans. And to make it "more" complicated, the mestizo native mixes as well.

The hurdle: to white folks, they're all just stinkin dirty brown mexicans who want to take what the white folks have.
