Health care, have your cake and eat it too? |

A thought just came to me, base level health care. Why can't America have a system designed like other countries in that it provides universal (base level) health care to every single American no matter what (so that the poor are never denied necessary health care), but still provide the top notch health care options for those who do have a higher level insurance, or just flat money to cover the costs (so that the wealthy can still have their excellent medical facilities and technology)? What prevents that? Just socialize the base level!
Duh!

Just because there is national health care here in Japan doesn't mean there aren't plenty of plastic surgery clinics, etc. for people who want to pay for it...

from health care and prescriptions it will never change. I am fortunate. I have medicare and a supplement insurance. I also have a prescription plan. I feel sorry for seniors and others who don't have this service. I have four prescriptions, diabetic, two high blood pressure and one for my stomach and there is no way in hell I could afford medicare prescriptions.
