Welcome to the June Photo Contest Final Round.

The following 10 Photos were selected by you from the Preliminary Polls.

The final round will run until June 30th.

The winner of this contest will have the prestigious honor of hosting next month's contest.

Please feel free to comment on any photos. The photographers really appreciate comments and feedback. If nothing else, please help keeping this thread kicked and recommended.

I'd still like the photographers to be able to tell us how they took the shots.

3. Visit the photo forum and ask specific questions there.

There is sort of a tacit etiquette that the photos should be posted anonymously and stand on their own, and thus that the photographers shouldn't provide any commentary in the contest threads. During the submission period, there are questions and answers regarding the pix, like this one - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=280&topic_id=31132&mesg_id=31132 . You might find a few answers there, but if not, feel free to start a new thread asking the questions that interest you. And toss in a few photos of your own, if you want to get feedback on your own photos.

6. Allrighty!!!

I will go over there and do some reading.

Sometimes pictures just hit me and I love them and that's that.

Other times, I look at them and I think about the technical skill that each photographer brought to the picture. I feel like knowing what went into a picture would enhance my appreciation for the work. Sometimes a lucky shot is just that and that's just the way it is. But most of the time, I would prefer that skill was considered as well as the final product.

But everybody should have an opportunity to say something, or not anyone. I agree with that. I will go read in the photography forum now, and see what everyone has to say.
