Ghouliani: CLINTON to blame for not dealing with bin Laden
"The idea of trying to cast blame on President Clinton is just wrong for many, many reasons, not the least of which is I don't think he deserves it." - Giuliani, September 2006

====
Today: VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani on Tuesday accused former President Clinton of not responding forcefully enough to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing or later terrorist attacks.

The former New York mayor criticized Democrats, accusing them of weakness and naivete in dealing with terrorism. Giuliani made the comments to about 650 business, corporate and political leaders at Regent University, the conservative Christian college founded by religious broadcaster Pat Robertson.

"Islamic terrorists killed more than 500 Americans before Sept. 11. Many people think the first attack on America was on Sept. 11, 2001. It was not. It was in 1993," said the former New York mayor.

Giuliani argued that Clinton treated the World Trade Center bombing as a criminal act instead of a terrorist attack, calling it "a big mistake" that emboldened other strikes on the Khobar Towers housing complex in Saudi Arabia, in Kenya and Tanzania and later on the USS Cole while docked in Yemen in 2000. "The United States government, then President Clinton, did not respond," Giuliani said. "(Osama) bin Laden declared war on us. We didn't hear it."

2. blm: Clinton to blame for not putting BushInc behind bars when he had the chance.
If he had there would have been no Bush2, no 9-11, and no Iraq war.

Would Rudy like to address that point?

3. And that would be done between the subpeona's of Republicans
chasing Whitewater, Filegate, Travelgate and every floozy in Arkansas? Republicans had over 200 FBI assigned to tracking down every rumor that the smear machine could manufacture. In spite of that, Clinton brought the 1st WTC bombers to justice, bnroke up the Millenium bombing cell, prosecuted an effective interdiction in Kosovo/Serbia, and kept OBL on the run. Created 20MM+ new jobs and put $400BB in the bank, too.

But what else does a Republican have to run on? Certainly not their performance over the past 7 years.

I hae already emailed asking, "Doesn't Rudy'scomments today, conflict with his 2006 statement,"The idea of trying to cast blame on President Clinton is just wrong for many, many reasons, not the least of which is I don't think he deserves it."

I urge everybody on DU to do the same.

9. Rudy G. is a Con Artist, Asshole, & a War Mongering Liar.
He is associated with Criminals and a child molester while claiming to be a freakin' hero. He is directly responsible for many people contracting terminal illnesses due to the polluted air at Ground Zero.

11. What a flipper flopper.
"The idea of trying to cast blame on President Clinton is just wrong for many, many reasons, not the least of which is I don't think he deserves it," Giuliani said during a stop in Florida. "I don't think President Bush deserves it. The people who deserve blame for Sept. 11, I think we should remind ourselves, are the terrorists — the Islamic fanatics — who came here and killed us and want to come here again and do it."

12. Where was Rudy?
Why wasn't Rudy's hair on fire? I am not aware of Rudy raising hell about terrorism even one time throughout the entire Clinton administration AND the entire Bush administration. Did I miss it?
