NEW YORK — Fashion house Liz Claiborne Inc. says founder Liz Claiborne, whose styles became an important influence for career women in the 1970s and 1980s, died Tuesday.

Very down to earth for a fashion type, from my experience.
She actually liked the thin pink strip in my hair (or so she said, anyway).
