http://news.aol.com/story/_a/most-in-poll-believe-gays-cant-change/20070627092409990002?ncid=NWS00010000000001(June 27) -- A majority of Americans believe that gays and lesbians could not change their sexual orientation even if they wanted to, according to results of a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Wednesday. It's the first time in a CNN poll the majority has held that belief regarding homosexuality. *snip* Who'd a thunk it?

1. I wonder if the same applies to heterosexuals? |
|
And whether its relevant? I don't care what people do with or how they might change their sex lives. Wouldn't it be nice if christians could go to one of those handy dandy psycho sessions to make them stop hating so intensely?

7. Of course those dumbasses at CNN had to post a poll... |
|
asking if sexual orientation was a choice. Even though a majority thinks it isn't, gotta still raise those doubts anyway. :eyes:
Still, this is very good news. Helps to dispell that "lifestyle choice" shite once and for all.

10. We are making progress....but what's with this "results from upbringing" bit? |
|
"Fifty-six percent of about 515 poll respondents said they do not believe sexual orientation can be changed. In 2001, 45 percent of those responding to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll held that belief. In 1998, according to a CNN/Time poll, the number was 36 percent.
In addition, 42 percent of respondents to the current poll said they believe homosexuality results from upbringing and environment, while 39 percent said they believe it is something a person is born with -- a close division that reflects the national debate over the issue."
Do those people explain why Cheney's favorite daughter is gay? We all know she had a screwed up upbringing but would these people think so too?
(My personal belief is you are born that way but honestly, I don't give a rats ass why. It's none of my business and I don't care if its a choice or not.)
