20 decapitated bodies found near Baghdad, we're turnin' the corner.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Iraqi national police said they found 20 decapitated bodies Thursday in the town of Madaen, southeast of Baghdad, according to an Interior Ministry official.

Iraqi security and coalition forces were being sent to the location to investigate, the official said. Madaen is about 15 miles (25 km) southeast of the Iraqi capital.

On Thursday morning, a car bomb exploded at a bus station in southwestern Baghdad, killing at least 22 people and wounding 31 others, an Iraqi Interior Ministry spokesman said.

The attack at 8:15 a.m. (12:15 a.m. ET) burned at least 40 cars and damaged a half-dozen shops in the predominately Shiite Bayaa neighborhood.

2. Sunnis? Shiites? Insurgents? Al Qaeda? Taliban?
We should get our people the fuck out of there.

3. Oh I agree with that
But I am wondering who is doing this and why, and what is there that we can do about it - and do we care to do anything about it, or just let it go.

Me, I can't just let it go - it is wrong on so many levels. If we can help end that, I am ok with that as a progressive.

4. It's absolute madness, ancient hatreds, religious clashes, total chaos.
I can't figure it out or make sense of it on any level, I only want our people out of there, I don't think we're helping a thing.

6. Well, not really a "march".
More like a slow "shuffle" or perhaps a "stumble" or "marking time". There's certainly no marching going on (except the no-bid contractors marching all the way to the bank with pallets of cash, that is.) ;)

7. Not only that, but miraculously, every 10th insurgent killed is deem to be a #3 Al Quaeda Operative.
:eyes: Oh, we're back to the blessed "body counts" of the Vietnam War Era.

9. I'd like to know where Chalabi and his 700 man army are--what are they up to
They were flown into Kabul, by the US. and trucked to that square in Baghdad for the staged event of pulling down Hussein's statue. That square was full of those 700 men. No ordinary Iraqis were there. If you watch film of it....the burly guy that was pounding on the statue, can also be seen in the pics of the 700 man group arriving in Baghdad....he's just behind Chalabi.

Where did all those men go?
I think Chalabi has plans for taking control of Iraq eventually.

Also,
People would be hearing and reporting screams/shots etc, from any ordinary building, where these unfortunate people, who've been kidnapped, are taken and tortured/killed.

I think they have an underground facility somewhere......where sounds would be muffled.....where bomb making is going on.
Anyone living in that intense heat, no a/c....would have gone underground to create cooler spaces to live, I think.
All that armament that wasn't guarded, after the invasion, and was stolen, has to be hidden - I think underground. All that material is what's being used for these bombs now....it's a huge amount of material to be stored somewhere.

10. The presence of our troops is fueling the violence
It is a reinforcing loop of violence.
Our troops being there leads to violence. Our troops press harder resulting in more violence leading our troops to press harder ...
We must withdraw our troops and seek a diplomatic solution.

11. This could go on for 100 years with no progress.
It's just a lose lose situation for our people there, they are being wasted, and this is unforgivable.

12. The waste is appalling
It is tragic our soldiers are dieing for this lost cause, but the Iraqis are dieing too. People seem lost to the fact that other human beings are being slaughtered by this war.
The Iraqi people do not want us there with guns. We need to stop the military operations and call all parties to the table to talk this out.

13. But it IS progress, don't you see?
We want all the Iraqis dead so they won't annoy us while we're stealing their oil. There's still quite a few of them left but it sure helps when they're so focused on killing one another. All according to plan.
