bush/cheney: They wouldn't blackmail or threaten to kill anyone would they?
That's the only reason I can think of for all their unencumbered power and blatant disregard for the law and the people, they have the goods on everyone in D.C., or they've threatened them all with anthrax love letters.

We KNOW that right after the anthrax letter murders dick and dubya called Tom Daschle and told him NOT to investigate nine eleven too closely. WHY would they do that? That's about the last time I EVER heard from Tom Daschle again. Patrick Leahy got an anthrax love letter too if I'm not mistaken.

Now even repubs are looking at big dick and wondering, 'how the hell are going to get his fat ass out of there'? As if they were actually afraid of his disgusting ass, I swear they are terrified of him, why?

I suspect that they've threatened to bomb whole nations many times over when making deals they can't refuse, let's face it, when you can call in the Marines or push 'the button' people will listen to you.

2. I don't know about the above. But I do know if Pelosi doesn't TURN about face and *impeach* ...
in the very near future, she not only deserves to lose her Leadership Position, she also is begging to lose her House Seat.

Dammit people, you can bet money they WILL NOT ACT, therefore, let's kick these Cowardly Legislators out by electing their next Democratic Primary Opponent in 2008? http://voidnow.org

3. Cheney doesn't need to overtly threaten anyone.
With his menacing manner and tone of voice he just needs to subtly hint that it's in your best interests to go along with him...

7. I agree...
Cheney can obviously back up his words with all sorts of unpleasantness - but he doesn't need to spell it out, it's implicit in how he says it.

9. BushCo has always bribed or threatened everyone into compliance,
And everyone around them knows what they are capable of.

BushCO motto has always been "Resistance is futile, you will be
assimilated."

It doesn't seem to have done any good, so I won't waste my time.

I even took it to the FBI and the agent that spoke with me said "I don't think this will go anywhere"

17. i think they've gone even further than that.
i think they may have the whole country on the table, ready to nuke us or do some other unimaginably horrible thing to the whole country (yes, more than they've already done) and they tell our congress critters they'll finish us all off if they don't go along with their shit. i like to think somebody would have fallen on their sword by now if it was just personal stuff they had on them. but who knows. we are truly in the twilight zone now.

25. Anyone who doubts that possibility needs to re-think the situation.
Q-1) Who would actually gain in the event of some horrible terrorist attack in the US?

A) Cheney & his junta would be able to suspend even more rights and assume even more dictatorial powers. It would make a lot of the public cower and beg just to be protected, no matter whose rights get trashed. Cheney's corporate patrons would be even more powerful and less likely to ever face scrutiny. The private security companies would pretty much get carte blanch around the nation. Lots of political enemies could be rounded up under the guise of Homeland Security.

Oh, the list goes on, but the winner in the event of a dirty nuke or any other massive terrorist attack would be Cheney.

Q-2) Has Cheney and his junta ever given even lip service to any concern about people besides themselves?

A) Nope. People are just another raw material. People are just a natural resource to be exploited for corporate profit if you take a look at the history of this gang.

Q-3) Does Cheney think anything is untouchable in his quest for money and boundless power?

A) Haven't seen any evidence of any such inhibitions. How many hundreds of thousands killed, maimed, ruined in Iraq? US troops or Iraqi citizens, he just doesn't care. How many resources diverted from human services into the black hole of spending for this insane military excuse to rob the Treasury?

No, no hint of ANY inhibitions on Dick's part. Torture is fine. Spending money that will take generations to pay back is fine. Death toll is fine. Destruction of critical resources is fine. Destruction of irreplaceable historical sites is fine. Destruction of the American middle class is fine. Fouling the air and water is fine. Wiping his ass with the Constitution is fine and dandy.

No inhibitions to do/take/destroy whatever he wants.

I have no doubts if he can't bribe, blackmail or otherwise gently persuade just about anyone that he would resort to being concerned at INTEL which shows there MAY BE a terrorist cell working in a Congressman's home district... No sirree, I do not see that as being something he would be hesitant to do if it saved his ass or gained a buck.

20. i believe
they go beyond the threats. murder - every day in iraq, for instance...911, an inside job. paul wellstone and i know there are others. check out the whistleblower in AL whose house was burned to the ground. blackmail HELL yeah! and their threats are not idle. they will take you down. considering the 109th congress and the way they kowtowed to this rogue administration, and now, with the democrats in the majority mostly just sitting on their hands, i'd say that the folks in DC know all this much better than i do.
