Michael Moore on Larry King Live Friday. He got bumped last night for Paris Hilton.

I'm happy to see that Michael Moore did get rescheduled to appear on Larry King after getting bumped last night for more Paris Hilton coverage. But doesn't the fact that this happened tell you all you need to know about what's wrong with the media in our country?

I did see it and it is a must see, even if you have to miss another of his media appearances to do it.

And this is why I never want to see the Electoral College disbanded and replaced with direct democracy-- if we look at the network's decision to drop Moore in favor of Hilton as a market-based choice founded on what "the people" want.

Imagine a President as incompetent as Bush, in front of the podium speaking to the American public saying, "War-- that's hot!" And that, I think is exactly what direct voting would accomplish...

8. Interesting fact

HAving been forced by My GF to listen to Larry last night I can point out: Larry King is as dull as ever. He does so little prep, knows so little current events that he can possibly give an interesting interview. I'm sure there's a lot of great stuff Moore could talk about, but I seriously doubt Larry will bring out the best in him. Larry King = dullest man on TV.
