Get out your tinfoil hats, will Bush roll on Cheney first, or vice versa? |
|
Will Bush cut a deal with the Dems to let Cheney roll in exchange for a free pass until January, provided the Dems can pick his V.P., in which case I'm guessing it would be somebody like Arlen Specter or Chuck Lugar?
OR.....
Will Cheney throw Bush under the bus, throwing the Democratic congress some red meat, forcing his impeachment, and Cheney's ascendancy to the Presidency, installing his favorite GOP successor to the thrown, probably somebody like Fred Thompson?
Got another fun theory you want to throw in?

Cheney needs Stupid to hide behind, so that's out. Stupid is so stupid and ill informed that he doesn't think there is a problem, has never been a problem and will never be a problem. So that's out.

10. At that point, Rove gives Cheney thumbs down, tosses him to the lions, |
|
and some really bad thing happens to divert our attention while enabling Cheney to usurp more powers for the executive branch he has freshly re-aligned himself with (just ahead of those subpoenas).

15. He'll run to Rove, he'll run to Poppy, he'll run to Babs |
|
and he'll run to Gonzo, demanding all of them fix it or just make it go away.
He does not respond well to threats. He has never taken a bit of responsibility for anything in his life. He has no reason to believe in consequences of any kind.

23. That's why I think that would be the scenario for getting rid of Cheney... |
|
he'd dump him in a heartbeat if it meant his own ass on the line. I'm sure Dick has a contingency plan all lined up just in case.

Republicans.
They've done what they were engineered to do, and ensured that no one will be able to get us out of the mess in the next half-century. Democracy is NOT part of the agenda.

27. One would think, but they seem almost deluded. It's almost as if |
|
they are terrified to lose that 26% that W still holds. I think they may be--they kmow that that 26% will cough up th campaign dough. It's why I say our best strategy is every W photo-op and statement of support for W's Iraq policy.
The GOP leaders seem to feel they still need to make the Democrats the enemy when in reality, the neocons have done far more damage to the RRRepublicans than we ever could have.

and ready. All they need to do is fill in the blank with the name of the Democrat sitting in the WH and slap a current date on it! Funny thing, "Bush did it" just won't be sufficient.
Don't be surprised if the Cons haven't been keeping notes all along about things they wouldn't dare utter even behind closed doors. They'll be waiting to pounce like wolves on the hunt, ready to attack and kill, using the same techniques that have fed them for years.
