Pat Buchanan .... at least you're consistent, old guy.
I don't even hate you. In fact, I give you credit. You're consistent and you're not shy about your views.

1. THat's kind of how I feel about Buchannan |
|
I mean when you stand him against the Hannitys or the Coulters or the Novaks - he's one guy at least who really is crazy and not mostly crazy for a buck. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

2. He is consistent, and I do respect that. |
|
Not that I agree with him on a darned thing, but he is consistent in his beliefs from one year to the next, and he states his beliefs plainly, rather than trying to hide them in political spin that others will accept. It's the difference between trying to convince others you are right, and trying to convince others that you really do agree with them even when you don't.
Still think he's a racist ass, of course.

3. Ann Coulter is consistent too.. Do you respect her? |
|
My parents also consistently support Bush no matter how bad he f*cks up, and I certainly don't respect them for that.

6. Pat is a real pre-Nixon conservative, just like William F. Buckley. |
|
For that, i do respect him.
His opinions are grounded in his own line of reasoning instead of funded by a paycheck and bribes.

7. He can't win. But then neither can anybody else. |

Sticking to one's guns is a virtue to some people and a willingness to change positions is to others (or often to the same people) Sometimes it's tough to pick between a flip-flopper and a stick-in-the-mudder. :D
