LaRouchepac gathering Impeach Cheney signatures

Earlier this afternoon, as I drove past the Post Office in my once very red and now totally blue suburban Chicago neighborhood, I saw a table with a banner on it that said "Impeach Cheney" and appeared that they were taking signatures. I quickly turned around and went to take a closer look. I was hoping it was fellow local DUers, but instead I took a closer look at their sign which advertised "LaRoucepac".

Illinois DU'ers will remember the havoc the LaRouchies caused for us in the 80's and other DUers will surely jump in with their own experiences. While I was supportive they were the right message, wrong messanger. I spoke briefly with one of the petition gatherers who kept trying to coax me to sign. He looked like he'd been doing this coaxing routine all day...but there was no way I could sign a petition sponsored by LaRouche (especially since one never knows who else is looking at those lists). I wished them well and good luck and went on my way.

It looks like they're going after a lot of the former Repugnicans...who now are either "Independent" or have been attracted to the Liberatarian party.
