Dems in Congress (and on the campaign trail) are too willing to postpone dealing with problems and issues until 2009. They think it can all wait til then.

I disagree, there's a great deal the can and should accomplish right now and I intend to hold them accountable.

Giving them a donation plays into their idea of focusing debate on crucial issues on the presidential campaign. No way, I'm not going to do it.

If they want my donation they can do something about health care, Iraq, economy, etc. NOW.

Comcast is threatening to cut me off (again), I can't buy a birthday present for the one I love, I can't pay the utility bill (again), my car has a perpetual "Service Engine Soon" light burning, I have no idea how I will pay my mortgage this month, the three latest job leads just turned me down (at least I got an interview out of one of them). my medical insurance premium just went up (again) and I have no other way to afford my one needed prescription . . .

Luckily I don't have much left to lose.

Only Kucinich has given me the slightest reason to contribute to his campaign. The others are all various flavors of corporatists, who don't need my money to go with their payola from the oligarchy.

I, for one, am really this sad.

Why post "I'M NOT DONATING UNLESS..."? Do you really feel that strongly to subvert the motivation of this forum, which is to encourage SUPPORT for Democratic candidates, especially in this case, several candidates who AGREE WITH YOU.

I think you are throwing the baby out with the bath water and making a huge mistake by disenfranchising those who would support GOOD CANDIDATES.
