London is still safer than Detroit!

I'm sure you've heard the "safer than Detroit (or DC)" argument when people are trying to downplay the violence in Iraq.

But why don't they use it in cases like today's London carbomb threat? Well, because they need to magnify the fear in cases like that, to suit their bullshit political agenda.

The "safer than " argument is, of course, based totally on numbers. Wouldn't it be interesting to point out to these people that NYC, based on sheer numbers, was safer than on the morning of 9/11?

They'd probably call you blasphemous, as their new religion is Fear.
