It was very obvious that both Roberts and Alito were going to be lock step Fascists. Why the heck else did Alito get the name "Scalito"? Both had plenty of evidence from their careers in the Reagan Admin and as Judges.

The pols didn't care (or, WANTED this) and your average TV viewer was more interested in Mrs. Alito's tears during the confirmation hearings.
