"London Car Bomb A Scary Reminder" of how they would "follow us home" if we leave Iraq
When the KoolAid hath been supped, there is evidently no antidote. So now, when the GOP "we're fighting them there so we don't have to fight them here" schtick has a hole punched through it, it is now just a fire drill, a mere REMINDER of what would happen if we left Iraq.

Idiots.

"London Car Bomb A Scary Reminder"
Written by: Jeff Crouere

Thankfully, no one was injured in London today, as a car bomb was defused by courageous explosive experts. The bomb was located right outside a crowded nightclub adjacent to London’s Piccadilly Circus.

The bomb was built to kill as many Londoners as possible. It consisted of gas canisters, gasoline, and nails. Police officials say that if detonated, hundreds of people could have been killed or injured...

If this had not been defused, the carnage would have been severe. The attempted attack shows that the terrorists are constantly trying to bring death and destruction to innocent civilians in freedom loving countries. Using a car bomb is a familiar tactic for terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan and it is a good indication that Islamic radicals are most likely responsible for this incident.

While the war on terror continues, many citizens and leaders in the West want to withdraw from the conflict and return home. The war in Iraq for all of the problems has at least led to the death of thousands of terrorists, individuals who might have been able to carry out attacks in “enemy” countries like the U.S. and Great Britain. This car bomb shows that the terrorists will follow Americans and their British allies back home. No place is safe from Islamic extremism.

Al-Qaeda is a relentless and powerful enemy...

2. Then why did that shithead in the White House let them go?
We would have had the lot of them at that camp had he not robbed SEVEN HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS from the effort in eastern Afghanistan where they were holed up to go chasing his daddy's glory in Iraq, the one Middle Eastern country with NO TERROR CAMPS.

The man is a criminal and so is anyone who still supports him.

6. Have they assumed or do they know that it was "terrorists"?
Couldn't it just be an angry U.K. citizen? Or someone mad at the nightclub owner? Maybe I have missed something.

7. Well since they are still fighting in Iraq
why did they try to bomb Britain. The terrorist should still be staying in Iraq not crossing the water to Britain. Isn't that why we are fighting them there to keep them there. The Bushsy statement about that doesn't make sense now. The terrorist shouldn't be in Britain.

8. EXACTLY
Also, are we to believe, based on the "fight them over there instead of over here" illogic that seems to be so popular among war/occupation supporters that every single "terrorist" incident anywhere now or in the future whether we're in Iraq or not can be traced back to Iraqi-based terrorists (terrorists, incidentally, whom wouldn't have an Iraqi "base" without Bush's stupid and totally unnecessary invasion/occupation of Iraq)?

10. I have yet to hear an explanation of HOW we'd be followed home
Stowing away upon the troop transport ships and flights? Use of stolen frequently flyer miles?

11. I to, have wondered about how they'd "follow us home"
It's the Republicans favorite scare tactic, "if we leave Iraq, then they'll follow us home"...

How?...does United Airlines have a direct flight from Baghdad to LAX?....Maybe they have Star Trek technology & they can just be beamed to the U.S., but ONLY after troops leave first, otherwise it won't work...Maybe their waiting for Mapquest to come up w/DRIVING directions, LOL...

The frustrating thing is, many buy the Republicans scare shit, :banghead:

15. They could follow the skids of greenbacks that disappeared in Iraq
Or they could get Saudi Passports or stamp "Made in China" on their asses & wait to be imported into our food chain.

Or worse yet, they could sign up as embedded reporters for any GOP Congresscritter who stops in Baghdad for a photo-op (Lieberfool comes to mind). Then they could fly here at taxpayer expense.

The terrifying possibilities are infinite!

12. The "bad guys" in this case are probably British citizens
The "follow us home" routine for Europe is a natural consequence of their empire's collapse decades ago.. Same for France..

14. Maybe it was a British born Muslim who wants to punish Britain b/c it has not yet withdrawn?
Couldn't it have been that--like the "Tube" bombers?
Oh no, it must be a warning about what could happen in the future, if we were to stop aggravating Muslim countries and withdrew from Iraq. They don't know shit on this case, but they KNOW this conclusion in advance.

sit back, watch and listen with a completely open mind as the Brit/US/World media foam at the mouth.

I've read half-a-dozen sources on the bomb this morning. So far:

BBC reports they don't have a clue who did it.
'International Elements' are said to be involved. (Their quotes, not mine)
It may or may not have been detonate-able (is that a word?) by remote or phone
An outside explosives expert said it was an amateur job
The IRA REALLY knew how to build a bomb

So far, bugger all of substance has been released, it, as usual, is total fucking hyperbole and terra-mongering. I wouldn't be surprised if the sticky fingers of MI5 or CIA or some other anagram happy bunch were not all over it as a welcoming present for Gordon Brown.

18. The timing is interesting.
Seems the bomb planters want the British to stay in Iraq since the PM was making noises about distancing Britain from Dick Cheney's Amerika.

With what we now know the CIA has been up to all these years an "attack" could be arranged to prove their point. I'm not saying they.... well I'm just saying. Neo-con bastards!

21. Ummmm, they already are...
So by this logic if we stay there longer we should expect more bombings in our country as reminders that we shouldn't leave Iraq.

stupid people make my brain sad.
