Good Lord! Castro Answers Bush's Comment That GL Will Take Him
http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/06/29/news/CB-GEN-Cuba-US-Castro.php

"Now I understand why I survived Bush's plans and those of presidents who ordered my assassination," Castro joked in a short essay distributed via e-mail to international media in Havana.

"The good Lord protected me," Castro said sarcastically, echoing Bush's own words on the 80-year-old leader's eventual demise.

3. Yes, but in the battle of the wits...
Bush is as disarmed as Saddam was before the invasion!

4. my dad was a comic 'til the end, at 84
upon exiting the OR from a surgery that had to be done with local for fear he could not survive general, he saw me and said, "well now I can add THAT to the list of things I've done!"

The morning after a night in the ICU after the respiratory-assist equipment had been removed at his request, and we had discussed the fact that he would probably not make it, he woke up, looked around, and said "what, am I still here?"

2. Interesting info. slipped out which seems to contradict what we have been told over the years....
From the article:
Cuba has maintained diplomatic relations with the Vatican since the revolution that came to power in 1959. But the government was officially atheist for several decades until the early 1990s, when the Constitution was changed and believers for the first time were allowed to join the Communist Party.
(snip)
Very interesting.

Thanks.

The guy's got spirit, absolutely. Pretty good for someone the Bush administration believed would be dead within weeks several months ago.

6. Bush couldn't let the "good lord" take Saddam, so he took
thousands of our soldiers and a million Iraqis instead.
