I expect to see a bomb a week until the '08 election.:eyes: ANYWAY....not that the MSM gives a rats ass, 5 U.S. soldiers died in THIS ACTUAL BOMB THAT DID EXPLODE. This has been the deadliest 3 months of this INSANE invasion. 99 soldiers died this month. 329 have died in the last 3 months.

Iraq Ambush Caps Bloodiest Months for US
By ROBERT H. REID, Associated Press Writer

BAGHDAD - A huge bomb exploded near an American patrol and five U.S. soldiers died in the blast and the hail of gunfire and grenades that followed, the U.S. military said Friday. The attack came as the Pentagon tallied up the deadliest three-month period for Americans since the war began.

Seven soldiers were wounded in the attack Thursday in the Rasheed district, a mixed Sunni-Shiite area of southern Baghdad where U.S.-led forces recently stepped up pressure on extremists. The commander of U.S. forces in Baghdad suggested the ambush could be part of an escalating backlash by Sunni insurgents.

Those deaths brought to 99 the number of U.S. troops killed this month, according to an Associated Press count. The toll for the past three months _ 329 _ made it the deadliest quarter for U.S. troops in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion. That surpasses the 316 soldiers killed during November 2004 to January 2005.

Maj. Gen. Joseph F. Fil Jr., who heads U.S. forces in the Iraqi capital, said U.S. casualties had mounted because Sunni extremists are "starting to fight very hard" as U.S. forces press into areas of the capital where militants once had free rein.<snip>

1. I think we
have enough brain matter to pay attention to both.

It seems to me that it will only be a matter of time before some of these people we have pissed off will be successful in their attempt to blow something up outside of Iraq and Afghaistan. I'm glad the explosives didn't go off and that good police work was effective.

2. I'm talking about the MSM that has OCD. Not DU.
:hi: DUers are capable of following 60 different of stories a day. The MSM isn't...Paris Hilton...Imus...Scott Peterson...Anna Nicole Smith...The Duke Rape Case...Jon Benet Ramsey....OJ Simpson.....the blond in Aruba.....Reagan's death...Reagan's funeral...Ford's death...Ford's funeral.

We'll be hearing this same freakin' story for the next week. Nothing else in the world matters to them. That's my point.

5. I am so reminded of the quote
from the movie V for Vendetta that not only applies to the British government but to ours as well....And it was mighty fortuitous for this to happen on the second day of brown taking over for bliar....wow! and of course bush and his reprobates have to get involved....So here is the quote:

"What we need right now is a clear message to the people of this country. This message must be read in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen on every television... I want *everyone* to *remember*, why they *need* us!"

uh huh.....NOT!!!!

I do thank you
