"Today, Raw Story" — Faux goes after RawStory
In his "My Word" segment, Gibson said that "far lefties" are contemplating "extremely radical solutions to the 'Bush problem,'" and specifically cited Roston's article.

"Today, Raw Story — a leftist blog on the Internet that traffics in hating both Bush and Cheney — floated the idea of abolishing the office of vice president," he said. "I realize this is a blog that not all that many people read, but this is how ideas get started on the left, and I expect we will see it pop up elsewhere soon."

Gibson said that the Roston's thesis was "even shot down by the constitutional expert he interviewed."

It should be noted, however, that Raw Story's piece was an analysis of an idea advanced by "some critics of the Bush administration" and the article described the notion as a "radical" one.

1. Like Raw Story cares what Faux News says about them.
I'll be their quaking in their boots. :eyes:

This article is good for a laugh, though.

2. And of course the rightards never mentioned
That the idea of abolishing the office of vice president was floated during the administration of Thomas Jefferson, soon after passage of the 12th Amendment, making this leftist, Bush-hating proposal something that's been around for more than 200 years.

3. "I realize this is a blog that not all that many people read"
Anyone have stats for Rawstory readership vs. Faux Newz viewership? I bet Rawstory has more readers than Faux has viewers.

4. LOL
John Gibson is a dweeb.

Seriously, the extent that Cheney has overreached will haunt presidencies for the rest of the Republic. There may actually have to be a formal bitchslap ceremony at party conventions before Americans will trust that the Presidential candidate can actually control his Veep candidate.

HW swore that we would see what a genius choice Dan Quayle was. I don't think this is what he had in mind, but it'll do, pig. It'll do.
