It takes guts and courage for entertainers to speak out against this vicious administration.
Further, Roseanne has the intelligence for any job --
including President.

The good thing about her is that she would say that on TV or anywhere.
I remember one time she said she hoped that the people who steal elections, would next time make sure a Democrat gets in as president!

70. Flatfooted. Oops, sorry, was channeling the Marx brothers.
First, I am impressed with the nonjudgmental way in which you asked for my opinion. That's not often seen here, especially concerning impeachment where it seems the majority are mad keen on impeaching everybody in sight.

If there was a chance of conviction (not necessarily a sure thing) I would go for Cheney first because there is no way if it turned out that any of us would want a President Cheney. Nixon's impending impeachment and conviction which made him resign was a result of Watergate hearings that had gone on for 2 1/2 years and even Clinton's impeachment was the result of a long, ongoing investigation. We don't have the benefit of that now and when the Dems took over only just more than 6 months ago Bush only had 2 years left to serve. In a sense I think that Bush might like an impeachment that had no chance of conviction because all of the attention would be focused on that and then he would be free to do as he liked elsewhere. Then, when he was not convicted, the Republicans could claim it was just a political ploy.

And I agree that impeaching the Veep should be first on the list, if this course of action were taken.

Intellectually, I say go for it! -- But I'm also a pragmatist; and these sleaze-balls have a way of putting their crap between two slices of flag, and getting people to eat their crap sandwiches.

Are you watching the new Roseanne Barr special on HBO?

UPDATE:

Now, she's saying, "Bush blows! Bush f**king blows. I hate Bush. I hate Bush. I hate Bush," etc.,
with a big cheer from the audience. She says she's glad everyone agrees now, because they didn't use to.

Posted: Fri Jan 05, 2007 3:28 pm Post subject: Mitt Romney

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let's turn our attentions to the following, instead of faulting each other.....

Mitt Romney is the devil himself, and the church has been working for forty years to elect one of its own to the highest office of this country, while trying to keep things hush hush about its practices of plural and child marriage... mitt romney's temple vows are to uphold plural (child) marriage in heaven, even if prevented from doing so on earth. These are the people who oppose gay marriage too, by the way, I believe as a red herring to keep their own version of 72 virgins in heaven (multiple wives) out of the public eye. They began their anti gay marriage drive when women polygamists starting speaking up about the reality of living in Utah and Wyoming and anywhere else in the west where mormons rule. I believe they oppose gay marriage because the term CONSENTING ADULTS would be in its definition, thereby committing to law that to marry a MINOR would for once be a punishable infraction in Mormon held states. Mormons still want to marry their youngest nieces, ( age 8 ) exactly like their taliban twins do. The Mormons are the most fundamental of all the fundamentalists on earth.. they put the MENTAL in fundamental...Only fifteen years ago they agreed that blacks are human and they still think that all jews need to die to bring christ's return... a horrifying hoax of a crusade against islam and judaism, and actually christianity too... they own almost all of ITT, almost every insurance company in america, and thousands upon thousands of companies that give money to anti-feminist anti democratic groups in this country and around the world. Their worst nightmare is equality and birth control for women. They believe that they are called to "save" America from jews, gays, and leftists. They gave the most money to the evangelical movement, which was spawned by their experiments on gay boys at byu in the 60-70's...watch clockwork orange, this is what they did to gay boys... and they also kick out their gay sons at age 13 to live on the streets, where a large majority end up as child prostitutes..(according to some of them, their biggest clientele is Mormon men).. It is the sickest thing on this earth, and if that was not enough, most of the aryan nations and american nazi movements are manned by mormons too.

Spread the mitt romney word, because it will really be too late if he is allowed to go mainstream any more than he has already.

don't ask for a source please because I have no clue where I read that. I was raised Catholic (now agnostic) so I have a slanted view but Mormonism strikes me as a bit too cult-like. But hell, most religions are to some degree (says the agnostic)

18. Roseanne Barr: "I'm Like Totally More Intelligent Than President Bush"
On October 19, 2005

Actress/comedian Roseanne Barr, insisted on Monday night's Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC
that she would win a battle of intelligence with President Bush. Barr recounted how she's
“going around telling jokes about our country and our people and the world and how
screwed up everything is. And I just basically bitch.”
She soon maintained about
Bush: "I could totally win him in a mind contest."

Edited on Fri Jun-29-07 08:01 PM by ReadTomPaine
I had no idea she was so outspoken politically or in command of the facts until I saw her not long ago on Bill Maher's show. Her observations were spot on and her efforts to keep the subject cogent and on point were skillfully applied. I was amazed.

I won't watch her comedy, but I won't miss her commentary.

Maybe she can be convinced to take on Coulter, woman to woman. She'd beat her senseless, verbally, that is. Well, more senseless than she is already.

And I don't want to hear ONE comment suggesting Coulter's not a woman.

"TAKE NOTE, MEDIA:

ONE HALF MILLION PEOPLE MARCHED TO DEMAND IMPEACHMENT
THIS WEEK IN D.C...AND EVEN THOUGH YOU DID NOT REPORT
IT AT ALL, IT HAPPENED... DEMOCRACY IS COMING TO THE USA!"

If that did happen, why didn't we hear about it here? Further, why don't you try searching for "impeachment march" or "anti-war/anti war march" (without the quotation marks of course) and see if the results aren't dated and depressing.

60. I'll take Rosie any day over most of the crap on TV even today
Yes there is the occasional blockbuster must see Friends and even better Will and Grace. But in Rosies day she was the one...the funnest thing she ever did was go out in front of all those humorless nascar people and mock them scratching her ass and hawking a fat one and singing the star spangled banner totally off key....it seems the only people who got it were her fans....way ahead of her time was Rosie. The corporate media were mortified...the press clutched its pearls and hitched up its skirts, alluding to how simply ghastly it all was. All to say I love you Rosie...You are the real deal.
